2012 Insider Exposure All Americans

College Coaches Pack the ATL Summer Slam this year, for the Top 2nd half ATL Area Exposure Event in 2012

The Insider Exposure circuit has come a long way in two years since its inception in 2010. More then 200 college coaches, 150 teams, and 2500 players from across the country took part in putting their best foot forward for the future of basketball. Because of these strong efforts we take the time out to compile a list for college coaches and individual players to see their achievement in the Insider Exposure All American's, an award which has become this year one of the most prestigious honors in summer basketball.

Big time atmosphere at Insider Exposure All American Camp in Franklin TN, All Star Games are a Trademark of Insider Events for players to showcase themselves.

Raigyne  Moncrief 5-10 G Miami Suns Fowles (FL) - Without a doubt the top 2013 guard nationally this year led the Miami Suns to the Disney Gold Showcase Championship, wins over Essence and AOT, and an undefeated run at the ATL Summer Slam. Moncrief who sat out last summer due to injury has been the most dominant player on both ends of the floor all summer. Along with being a fantastic player her athleticism and dedication to her teammates make her well deserving of this honor.

Cuevas has established herself with Insider Exposure and her play in other exposure events as the #1 guard nationally in the class of 2014 a title few can argue with.

Williams dominating performance against Exodus NYC in Franklin gave FGB it's first win ever over the New York based program. Williams was the key inside for an FGB team which became one of the nation's top 20 teams this summer. Williams great rebounding ability, quickness, agility, and 3 point range have garnered her honors and many consider her one of the top 20 2015 players in the country.

Insider Exposure Class of 2016 Co-National Player of the Year

Atyanna Gaulden 5-6 G Georgia Sparks (GA) - A fixture at Insider Exposure Events the last two years with the Georgia Sparks who have moved into being one of the Top 5 Club Teams in Georgia this season. Gaulden many consider to be a lock as a top 20 kid nationally and one of the best kids to come out of South Georgia in a long time. Her aggressive play and will to win are unmatched at her age. After two years of viewing it was easy to pick her as our player of the year and the best part is the best is still to come.

Anna Wilson 5-8 G Boo Williams Richmond (VA) - Gaulden is a fixture at our events and now we have what one would call a friendly rivalry with Anna Wilson 2016 from VA who many consider the top point guard in the country. Wilson runs the show for Boo Williams Richmond which is the most talented young team in the country. At the ATL Summer Slam there was little disappointment as Wilson kept her team in games against some of the top older teams in the country. Wilson's calmness while running the show in such a hectic environment makes the gym go silent as she goes to work. Trust us we are excited to watch her the next four years as she enters high school.

Insider Exposure: ATL Summer Slam Feature Games

Coaches from around the country have figured out that Gwinnett and Cobb County arnt the only area's of Georgia to find top flight talent as this week the ATL Summer Slam proves to be the top exposure event in Greater Atlanta the 2nd Half of the July Viewing Period. The Summer Slam highlighted by its "All Star" Games on Wednesday night give players an opportunity to get seen at the highest level of summer basketball. Along with the WBB Insider, GBB Insider, Bob Corwin of Full Court (www.fullcourt.com) will be in attendance to find the next big time prospect at the Summer Slam. At the Summer Slam there is no where to hide in a bracket with weak teams director John McGraw has top teams face to face all day for the best competition in Georgia and for college coaches to see who steps up to the occasion.

Here are a few feature games from the ATL Summer Slam

July 25

New Heights 16U vs Boo Williams Richmond - Boo Williams Richmond has dominated at their grade level at AAU for the past several years, now they step outside the box and take on one of New York's top teams led by Super 2015 Kecia Perryman from the Peddie School. Perryman was one of the MVP's of the Insider All American camp which more then 100 coaches came to check out the Top 25 National 2015. Boo Williams Richmond has several major prospects in the 2016 class with Anna Wilson and Jocelyn Jones who is already committed to North Carolina. DMV vs NYC in the ATL should be a classic.

Miami Suns Larkins vs Norfolk Express - Two of the top young teams in the country are coming off strong performances the first half of July in their respective events are now on a path to cross in the ATL. The Miami Suns are led by 2016 Cabria Lee one of the top young players in all of the South along with a host of other talented prospects. Norfolk Express had a strong showing at the IE Music City Mayhem and several players named to the All Star Game at Insider Exposure All American Camp. Look for this game to feature nearly 20 D1 prospects all 2014 or younger.

Knoxville Panthers Gold vs A-Game TDot - The Knoxville Panthers have dominated their opponants in the South this year in Atlanta coming into the Summer Slam with dominating victories over the Georgia Hoopstars among others. A-Game TDot comes in with a reputation as one of Canada's finest and between the two programs there is little doubt with the overwhelming talent in this one it could be an instant classic talked about for years to come. Ashlee Mitchell is one of the most underrated guards in the south and Maelyn Cutshaw can shoot it blind folded, those two versus a stacked A-Game squad will provide for viewing pleasure on Wednesday night.

July 26

FGB Elite vs Kentucky Lady Retro's - FGB is only outclassed in Florida by the major accomplishments this summer of the Miami Suns. After a 10-2 first half run which included wins over Philly Triple Threat, Exodus NYC, a 9th Place finish out of 100 teams at Fila Nationals, and an epic run of tough game wins at Music City Mayhem they wind up here at the summer slam for the last event of the summer. FGB has had big games out of 2013's Jayla King, Trimaine McCullough, and Zenia Coley. Jonell Williams already is getting national ink, and Kiara Desamours proved that she belongs in an elite category as well. Watch for FGB in this event as this will be their toughest challenge.

Atlanta Lady Celtics 17U vs Exodus NYC - Two of the best teams in the country square off in a late night battle at the summer slam. The Atlanta Lady Celtics are the premier program in the South for the Adidas brand and Exodus NYC has been the staple of power in NYC for years. Moses Johnson 2013 GA has had as good of a summer as anyone soaring her stock during the first half of July. 2014's Brea Elmore and Jada Byrd are two of the most underrated kids in the country. Look for Bianca Cuevas to continue her tear this summer as she scored nearly 150 points in four games in Battle in the Boro. Exodus is also strong inside with 2014's Yasmine Belk and Sofia Roma.

KC Select 15U vs GA Sparks 15U - Two very strong young teams who both had good showings at the Music City Mayhem event in Franklin, TN where more then 100 college coaches showed up to view the outstanding talent. Chloe Lane 2015 has shot the ball as well as anyone in the country this summer and finally college coaches are starting to take notice of 2016 prospect Atyanna Gaulden who is the top 2016 prospect in Georgia and Top 20 nationally. With these two heavy hitting guards going at it there is no question the score board will light up.

Other Top Games - Boo Williams Richmond vs WV Thunder 2014; KC Select vs Miami Suns Fowles; Exodus NYC vs Miami Suns Fowles;

July 27

St Louis Team Adidas vs Miami Suns Fowles - What better way to cap off the best event in the Atlanta Area during the 2nd Half of the viewing period then what is being called in recruiting circles as the "MAIN EVENT". The billing of St Louis Team Adidas versus Miami Suns is the size of Rocky versus Ivan Drago but will take place on center court 1 at Clayton State. Emmonnie Henderson has the eyes of the top 5 programs looking and their feet chasing the big time prospect from Edwardsville, IL while Page Rakers 2014 is coming off one of the best 1st half's in the country for a 2014 prospect. That being said the dynasty the Miami Suns have put together is coming to an end with this one game at the summer slam and it is only up to players like Raygine Moncrief and Kai James how the final chapter is written. With all that talent on the court it will be hard to not watch as two of America's top programs do battle.

WBB Insider - Best of South Florida Camp

Another frequent stop for me in Florida is the University of South Florida where I have attended three camps there in the last two years including this year's USF Team Camp this past weekend. Jose Fernandez puts on the top Team Camp in the state for several years running the 12 year veteran head coach made this past weekend no different with 50+ teams from Florida and Georgia, talent was not lacking.

Atyanna Gaulden 5-7 G 2016 Coffee County Douglas, GA - Big time point guard squared off with Virginia commit Tiffany Suarez and while Our Lady of Lourdes won the team battle there was little doubt that the individual battle was won by Gaulden. We have covered Gaulden extensively this spring, her effort, speed, and intensity are unmatched for a player of her age, with improved range and shooting she could end up being Georgia's Top 2016 prospect.

Kiara Desamours 6-0 W 2015 Dunbar Fort Myers, Fl - Strong athletic wing player showed well this weekend in front of the South Florida coaches. Desamours is fierce going to the basket and can finish with either hand. I believe Desamours is a better shooter then she let on this weekend and as she gets more comfortable on the wing shooting and driving the ball the sky is the limit for her.

Dee Anderson 5-10 W 2014 Viera Viera, Fl - Anderson is no stranger to us as we have been watching the 2014 wing from the Space Coast since she was in 7th grade. Anderson is showing increased range and being more comfortable with the ball. Clearly a solid job of development by her high school coach at Viera has her skills ramping up quickly. We saw her in the high school season where she played very well and with a strong summer she could move up a lot of schools lists.

WBB Insider - Best of South Carolina Camp

My first trip to Dawn Staley's South Carolina campus was one which I left more than impressed with the level of the camp as well as the talent on hand. Columbia, SC has to be one of the more talented non major cities in the south with several high major players residing there. Here was my take on the top players of South Carolina Camp.

Kaydra Duckett 5-9 G 2014 Dreher HS SC - Strong athletic guard who can shoot the 3 and the pull up is lightening quick and can handle the ball well too. Relatively unknown on the national level she is someone more schools should be on and quickly.  Duckett is an elite level athlete who competes every play in drill work and in game situations look for her to rise to the national elite guards in 2014.

A'ja Wilson 6-3 W/F 2014 Heathwood Hall Columbia SC - An unbelievable talent Wilson is at 6-3 to be able to handle the ball shoot from the perimeter and finish with either hand. While many have her in the top 10 nationally, being on the bottom half of that list may be too low for her. Another big time South Carolina prospect who could make the schools in state very happy if she decides to stay close to home.

Jatarie White 6-3 F 2014 Providence Day Charlotte, NC - Strong physical forward who is as skilled as any 4 in the 2014 class. While she needs to continue to work on finishing and giving effort on every play when she is challenged and competes shes as good as anyone on the floor at that time. Another lefty with Aja Wilson, White can hit the 3 and face up effectively at the high post. Look for big things out of this 2014 post.
